We are now offering raw (unpainted) casts of our Halo Plasma Pistol!
The pistol is cast in Smooth-On 300 resin and is a bright white. It weighs approximately 2.1 pounds (without electronics) and has a nice heft to it, giving it a more realistic feel. It is 11″ long, 9″ from the bottom of the gun to the sites, and is 1.25″ thick at its widest point (which is the bottom section of the gun. The handle is 1″ thick). The handle/grip is a comfortable size and has an easy to reach trigger for turning the lights in the “plasma” points on and off.
The cast comes in two pieces (so the electronics and batteries could be added) and goes together easily with hex head screws (included). This is a very clean cast and should only need a minimum amount of sanding/filling, etc. No power tools needed!
Kit includes:
-2 part resin cast of gun body, already screwed together, for shipping (the screws are inserted in to brass inserts, mounted in the gun body prior to shipping). You will need a 4.0 mm allen wrench to open/close the two halves of the prop.
-2 pieces of edge-lit green acrylic, which will be screwed in place already (simply remove for painting, or tape over acrylic).
-2 super-bright white LED’s, already mounted inside the acrylic and wired to the switch.
-trigger, already in place in the gun handle.
-battery holder for 3 AAA batteries (batteries NOT included).
-switch; already mounted on gun body with small screws and wired to the LED’s.
Pretty much the only thing you will have to do is sand and paint!!
